Shape Curve Editor (SWMM)

The Shape Curve Editor is displayed when the button is selected in the Geometry field in a Shape curve, and is used to specify the height and width values which define the cross section of a custom shape type of conduit. These are both normalised with respect to full depth. A 3D view of the cross section shape is shown in the editor as the relationships are entered.

An example is shown below.

Item Description
Grid / 3d view

The depth and width values specified in the grid will appear in the 3D view.

Note that the X values must be specified in increasing order.

The view represents how the width of the cross-section varies with height, where both width and height are scaled relative to the section's full depth.

See the Shape Curve Data Fields (SWMM) for further information.

OK Saves any changes to the values in the grid and closes the editor.
Cancel Discards any changes to the grid values and closes the editor.

See Creating User-defined Shapes (SWMM) for information about using the editor to create shape curves.
